Consider sitting on the executive board. Help shape the important decisions your association makes.
Volunteer to sit on one of the many committees which require faculty representation. Annual elections occur in late March or early April.
Your association is only as strong as the membership. It is important to Support Your Association as that is how FARDP can bring about change and benefit the members. How can you do this?
Keep informed!
Attend FARDP meetings. The annual general meeting only takes place once a year. At this meeting, the previous year’s finances are approved. General meetings occur several times a year, updates are provided for all important issues and committees.
Attend special meetings which are often held during and leading up to negotiations. Keep informed!
Show your support.
During negotiations and at other FARDP events wear your FARDP t-shirt. Supporting your negotiations committee is key to successful negotiations.
Socialize.
Have fun at a FARDP social or better still suggest an idea and help organise it.
